Post Fury Macros!
Ok as some may know, and others less so (just read my mage guide...you'll join the former group) I love macros. I would trade a really good macro for my firstborn. I believe if you can do it with a macro there's no sense in having an addon for it, so yes I spend quite a bit of time making, researching and using macros of all sorts.

So! I levelled (a process that took nearly 4 years) as arms for the vast majority of the time I was levelling, I love arms and know it quite well. I've been playing with fury most recently, and these are the fury macros I've figured out work rather well for me thusfar:

Code:
#showtooltip slam
/cast slam
/stopcasting

For bloodsurge procs and to be a little on the safe side. I have noticed that this will sometimes randomly not work though for whatever reason and you'll start casting a slam anywho from time to time.

Code:
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=0.2 Heroic Strike, Heroic Throw

I use this cause Heroic Throw resets a swing timer so in theory it makes sure I don't lose more than .2s, as heroic strike works off of your swing timer.

Code:
#showtooltip Rend
/cast [stance:1] Rend; Battle stance
/stopcasting
/cast Berserker stance

Since I have a bit of an out of the ordinary fury spec I weave rends, this is half of the macro combination I use to do so

Code:
#showtooltip whirlwind
/castsequence reset=18 whirlwind, whirlwind, battle stance

The other half of my rend weaving macro combo. Basically since unglyphed rend lasts 15s, optimally assuming you do your rotation correctly and keep it tight you can get in two whirlwinds in that time, I find muttering a mantra of one two, one two works for me and then double tapping on the second whirlwind (technically you could just double tap every time and then get ready to hit your rend as soon as your GCD is done to switch back to zerker stance) as switching stances is off of the GCD.

Those are the main macros I currently have figured out work well for a nice rotation. Do you use any different macros? Do you have any opinions on how to better my macros? Please you other like...3 or 4 warriors in guild, let me know!

I wish they'd delete slam from the game.

Hmm. I'll have to fool around with those macros this weekend and let you know. I know the slam one works well (though I get the weird slam cast leaks too). I've been trying to work in the rends but I wanted a stable macro for it. I'll check it out.

Thats kinda ironic considering that Steady Shot becomes the core shot for hunters when Cataclysm hits (even more so than now). From what Blizz has released so far, hunters are moving from a mana system to an energy system. All shots will take x amount of energy to fire, but steady shot (as of what they know right now) will actually increase your energy instead of depleting it. It is the recharge-shot, so it won't be going anywhere.

I'm guessing it will fill a role in which you wouldn't want to use it all the time. Consider, for example, ThunderStorm down th e shaman tree. Even if they were to take off the cooldown, the shaman wouldn't want to just spam thunderstorm for AoE because of the lack of damage that is outputted. My guess is that steady shot will have the same effect. Blizzard probably wouldn't give you a shot that gained you energy AND did a maximum amount of damage. You'll probably look at it more like a life-tap. You'll do something like arcane, sting, newshot1, newshot2, arcane, steady steady.

But this is a digression of the actual purpose of this forum.

Oh, absolutely. Steady will not be our top damaging shot, but it will be a core part of the shot rotation for sustained dps. In all likelyhood(sp?) it will be used about as much as it is now, but it will be a necessary thing to use. Im not saying that it will be teh shiznippy ability, just that is is going to be implemented in a way that it will not be removed.

Fury macro's rule!!! To keep this post somewhat on topic, I have merged bloodrage(?) and Imp berserkers rage together for a one-button rage boost. The question is this: is Imp BRage a staple thing or is it not worth the points? What I have speculated is that at lower gear levels, before having crap-tons of hit and expertise, Imp rage is worth using for the rage boost. At higher gear levels when white-swings are hittign much more often, the extra rage might not be as necessary.

Personally, I have 2 points in it. It's incredibly helpful if you ever get rage starved. Press a button and you're back on track. And when you're not rage starved, you can top yourself off or get an almost free WW every 20 seconds.
